  • Marsinah was born in East Java in 1969. She is a negotiator for independent trade unionists. She was kidnapped following a demonstration and her body was found 4 days later with indication of dreadful death. She became an icon of labor rights in Indonesia afterward. In this Local Heroine series, we think a flowery approach will suit her perfectly because her strength to rise until the end of her life gives the example of never settling in oppression.
